Yavuz Aydin is one of 4,500 Turkish judges who was purged by President Erdogan. He graduated from Ankara University Law Faculty and completed his master’s degree at Exeter University (UK) on EU Law and European Human Rights Law.
From 2011 to 2014, Aydin worked as a justice councillor at the Permanent Delegation of Turkey to the EU. While working as a judge in Turkey in July 2016, he was dismissed by the Erdogan government.
Having been granted political asylum in Romania, he is currently studying interdisciplinary EU studies and migration at Université Libre de Bruxelles.
