Ligue Internationale Contre le Racisme et l’Antisémitisme

Founded in 1927, Ligue Internationale Contre le Racisme et l’Antisémitisme (LICRA) is one of the oldest associations fighting against racism, anti-Semitism, and discrimination around the world. LICRA takes pride in the important members in its history: Blum, Einstein, Malraux, Kessel, and so many more. Closer to our time, honorary members include: Jacques Chirac, Laurent Fabius, Lionel Jospin, Francois Bayrou, testify to and illustrate the diversity claimed by LICRA. LICRA tirelessly pursues human recognition without discrimination based on religion, social status, philosophy, or origin, in order for everyone to seek equality of chances and rights. The association invests in education, culture, historical knowledge, and law in the interest of containing ignorance, ghettoisation, and hate.
