Nestor Rodriguez Lobaina, president of the Movement of Young Cubans for Democracy, was sentenced to six years in prison on charges of causing a public disturbance; he was, in fact, calling for more democracy in Cuba. While in prison, Mr. Lobaina was subjected to torture. Mr. Lobaina was invited to the Second Geneva Summit, but the Cuban regime refused to let him travel. After we complained publicly, he was arrested for a few days. We still managed to have a short video of him. Finally liberated in April 2011, he was expelled from the country and took refuge in Spain. We are looking forward to host him for real this year.
