Marlon Zakeyo

Marlon Zakeyo is a Zimbabwean lawyer, former student leader and human rights advocate. He co-ordinates the work of the Zimbabwe Advocacy Office, a special Geneva-based project dedicated to raising global awareness and action on the human rights and humanitarian situation in Zimbabwe.

Zakeyo first became involved in the struggle for justice and human rights in Zimbabwe as a member and later a leader of the Student Christian Movement of Zimbabwe. He worked extensively with local civil society organisations on election monitoring, economic and social justice and several other campaigns. In Geneva he has continued working with Swiss NGOs, international church organisations and Zimbabwean organisations to ensure that the UN Human Rights Council, governments and other influential bodies act in solidarity with the people of Zimbabwe.
